Eric McCombs' Biography
Eric is currently a business teacher at Bandys High School and serves as the head girls' track coach and assistant athletic director. He became an educator in 2008 after 21 successful years in sales and management with some of the area’s largest companies such as Prudential-Hedrick Mitchell Real Estate of Hickory, NC (multiyear million dollar producer), Corporate Liaison with Corning Cable Systems and Assistant Manager with Lake Hickory Country Club (one of the largest private Country Clubs in North and South Carolina).
Eric is a 1981 graduate of Bandys High School and a 1986 graduate of Appalachian State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. He also played football and in 1985 was one of the founding members of international and prestigious fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. on the campus of ASU.
He is married to Traci McCombs, and together they have a blended family of five children: three sons - Jusin, Josh, and AJ - and two stepdaughters, Madison Kanupp and Casey Rogers. His sincere interest in helping children is what lead him to becoming a member of The Hearts and Hope Foundation, Inc. “ But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?”( 1 John 3:17)
