Wesley Sigmons's Biography
Vice President
Vice President
I was born and raised in Catawba County. After graduation from Bandys High School, I received my
Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and
shortly thereafter received a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University. My wife,
Lyndsi Little Sigmon and I currently live in Denver with our children Drew Bradley Sigmon, Addi
Cate Sigmon, and Livi Wryn Sigmon. Our son Luke Wesley Sigmon, an inspiration to a community
and one of the reasons for Hearts and Hope Foundation, went home to the Lord on March 31,
2015. Lyndsi and her family are natives of Catawba County as well, and she graduated from Bunker
Hill High School and Lenoir Rhyne University.
During my time at UNC-Chapel Hill and her time at Lenoir Rhyne University, we were both part of
athletic teams, and we continue to be a part of athletics by participating in numerous
organizations. After graduation I began my legal career at Sigmon, Sigmon, and Isenhower in
Newton, and then worked at Kennedy and Wulfhorst, PA in Denver, North Carolina practicing in
Catawba and Lincoln Counties. In 2015, I moved to the firm SIGMON, CLARK, MACKIE, HANVEY &
FERRELL, PA, in Hickory, North Carolina. In 2018 our family began an adventure and became
owners of an independent grocery store in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Throughout the
years I have participated in numerous organizations: including the Sherrills Ford Optimist; the
Eastern Catawba County Starz AAU basketball program; as a member of the Board of Directors for
the Trojans Country Fitness Training, Inc.; as OBX Pride Basketball Coach; Dare County youth
football, basketball, soccer, and tee ball coach; Hatteras Island Baseball director and coach; Coastal
Basketball League director and coach; and a Dare County Basketball Camp Director. I am a
member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and have previously served on the Pastor Parish
Committee.
The Hearts and Hope Foundation, Inc. was formed in honor of Luke as our way of saying thank you
to our community for their support over the years. In the six years of Luke’s life, we were truly
blessed with so many memories and special moments, but we wanted his legacy to be more than
just his sickness. Our community gave us so much when Luke had his surgeries and ultimately his
heart transplant, and this Foundation is a wonderful opportunity to give thanks in a small way.
The Foundation is geared to giving back to people in our community, and we have been able to
help numerous families over the last few years in accomplishing our goals. Our mission is to allow
the HEARTS of all to provide HOPE to children and families who are in need.
